Wedding Coverage
How would you describe your "style"?My style is a laid back mix between photojournalism and casually posed portraiture. Especially when shooting weddings there are certain times of day where one style or approach might be more beneficial or appropriate than another. My clients trust me with some of the most important moments of their lives. This allows me to be relaxed and creative while shooting and deliver images that capture their style, personality, and love authentically.
Do you work with a second photographer?
I shoot all of my weddings myself with a non-shooting assistant (who you will also love!). They are my family photo coordinators, voice activated light stands, equipment setter-uppers and taker-downers, and general jack of all trades. My assistants are the reason I am able to make a lot of my most favorite photographs and I wouldn’t dare shoot a wedding one of them with me. But, I will be the only one photographing your wedding. I would be more than happy to show you sample galleries so you can see what a wedding looks like start to finish with one photographer. If a second photographer is something you simply have your heart set on or that is necessary based on the logistics or timing of your wedding day, we can certainly add that to your collection.
Do you travel? And will you shoot my destination wedding?
Yes and yes! I've photographed weddings in Ireland, California, Colorado, Florida and extensively throughout the North East. I’m always ready for an adventure and my passport is always current.
For "local destination" weddings, accommodations for two nights or a travel fee may be required. The overnight accomodations would be for the night before and night of your wedding. This ensures I get there early so that I can provide you with the best possible wedding day coverage!

How long until I see my wedding photos?
For "local destination" weddings, accommodations for two nights or a travel fee may be required. The overnight accomodations would be for the night before and night of your wedding. This ensures I get there early so that I can provide you with the best possible wedding day coverage!
Shoot me an email for quotes on travel fees for true destinations weddings.
Please allow 8-10 weeks for processing of wedding photos during busy season (April-December). We’re really proud of the finished product and strive for quality not quantity or speed.
How many photos will we get?
I give an average minimum of 500 photos, however the number of photos you receive will change based on a number of factors (hours of coverage, travel time and logistics of your wedding day, etc). I never strive to hit a certain number while culling a wedding, but rather to give a well rounded, carefully curated quality collection of images that represent your wedding day.
Are all of my photos edited?
Yes, they are! Each and every photo is individually edited and at the end you will have a high quality, cohesive collection of wedding day photographs.
Do you deliver in B&W and color?
Images are delivered in either in color or black & white. If you have a preference for more color or black and white photographs we can discuss this prior to your wedding day.
Can we see more? Can we have the RAW files?
Images that don’t make the cut are files such as duplicates, blinks and light tests. For example, if I am shooting a larger group of people, I will take a number of shots to be sure there are 2-3 where everyone’s eyes are open. The images do not make the final cut and are not archived and are therefore not available.
Do you pull permits for portrait locations?
Permits are always a good idea. Basically because getting kicked out of a shoot location is a real buzz kill, especially on a wedding day! I am happy to help with location suggestions, however it is the responsibility of the client to pull all necessary permissions & permits.
Can you help us with wedding timeline planning?
Absolutely. I help all of my clients plan their wedding day timeline based on the best time of day to shoot. However, I am a photographer not a wedding planner. We are always happy to help coordinate family, pin boutonnieres, wrangle bridal party etc. However, the more time we spend being a coordinator the less time we can spend documenting your wedding day. We would be more than happy to provide you with names and recommendations for wedding planners and coordinators that also offer day of coverage if you find you're needing more help planning details and logistics.
What happens if you're sick or can't attend our wedding?
Well, that would be epically unfortunate. While this have never happened (and knock on wood it never will), I am part of an extensive local (and national) community of professional wedding photographers from which I would provide you with a substitute photographer.
We would love to work with you, what happens next?
Great! I'd love to hear from you! Just click on that contact button up at the top of the page, tell me more about you, your fiance and your wedding! Next steps would be to meet (either in person or via the internets) and make sure we're the best possible fit for your wedding day!
Business
Can you hold the date for us?All bookings are first come first serve and out of fairness to all I cannot hold any dates on my calendar without a signed contract and deposit.
What is your payment schedule?
A retainer of 30% of your total collection (plus applicable taxes) if required to officially book Suzanna as your wedding photographer. The remainder is due four weeks prior to your wedding.
Do you offer discounts for "off season" weddings?
On occasion discounts are available for events and weddings that fall on a weekday (Monday-Thursday) and require four hours of coverage or less. For all other commissions, out of fairness to all of my clients who have already booked, I do not discount my base collection prices. If you have any questions or budgetary concerns feel free to reach out to me via email and we can discuss.
Do you have insurance?
I sure do! And I would be happy to provide your venue a certificate of insurance. Be sure to give a few months advance notice so I can provide them with what they need.
What’s in your bag?
I shoot with a number of Nikon professional bodies and an array of professional lenses. I always carry backup equipment and lighting equipment for any time of day/location. As well as lots of other fancy gadgets that light up, pop open and allow for killer photos!
Engagement Sessions
Do you offer engagement sessions?Of course! I love shooting engagement sessions. They are a great way for us to get to know each other and for you and your fiance to get comfortable in front of the camera before your wedding day. And when combined with your wedding photos, provide a very well rounded collection of images that represent the two of you as a couple!
I shoot engagement sessions weeknights (Monday through Thursday) during wedding season. Availability is first come first server and dates fill up very quickly especially in the spring/fall months so be sure to get on the calendar ASAP. Additional fee applies for weekend sessions (based on availability).

Awesome! I'd be happy to share my availability, however, all bookings are first come first serve and out of fairness to all I cannot hold any dates on my calendar without a signed contract and deposit.
We booked our engagement session, what day/time of day should we shoot?
I shoot engagement sessions weeknights (Monday through Thursday) during wedding season. Availability is first come first server and dates fill up very quickly especially in the spring/fall months so be sure to get on the calendar ASAP. Additional fee applies for weekend sessions (based on availability). The best time of day to shoot is typically early morning (yes, I'm talking sunrise) or evening (about two hours or so before sunset). Timing might change a bit depending on the location, style of your shoot, travel involved, etc.
We need our engagement photos for our save the date, when should book our session?
Best practice is to shoot at least three months before your print/order deadlines. This will ensure we have time to process your images and also allow for a rain date should weather be an issue. If you need your engagement photos sooner for any reason or are running into a deadline, let Suz know ASAP so we can make a note of it in our production calendar.
